What is a VIN REPORT?

A vehicle identification number is a series of numbers unique to each vehicle manufactured for sale. Our VIN check and search can provide details of a used car like year, make, model, where it was made. Our vehicle history reports can provide you with key details such as accident history, safety recalls, maintenance records, odometer readings and more.

Where is my VIN?

On the vehicle’s dashboard, inside the driver’s side windshield. It’s also on the inside door jamb, right where the driver’s side door latches. You can also find it on documents such as vehicle ownership, insurance, and maintenance records.

What if my VIN does not decode?

Make sure each number has been entered correctly.

In most cases, vehicles with VINs less than 17 digits were manufactured before 1981 and will not decode. If you have a VIN less than 17 digits and would like to know the vehicle history, please call us and we may be able to access your vehicle’s archived data.

Avoid costly problems and drive with confidence with the vehicle history report trusted by millions.

Amount due

A lien is essentially an unpaid loan on the car. If it hasn’t been paid, that means you would be legally responsible for the previous owner’s debt. Service history

Knowing what maintenance was done on a used car in the past and how often it was done can prevent problems from occurring in the future. A vehicle history report can show you what maintenance was done, by whom, and how often, so you know what condition the car is in.
